Tubes at the Salone del Bagno international bathroom show – Milan design week 2014.

The latest edition of the Salone Internazionale del Bagno international bathroom show was a great success for Tubes, who attended with a 200 m2 booth.Tubes presented 4 new products which roused considerable interest amid the public and the press. These 4 new products have all it takes to be considered part of the Elements collection in their own right, combining projects whereby the radiator, reinterpreted by internationally acclaimed designers, is designed as an element of the architectural structure, with a strong personality and furnishing ability. The first new product, Rift, is designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba with Matteo Fiorini, is a radiator featuring an original design and most of all an excellent solution for designers, who not only can compose it and benefit from its modularity, but also use it in refurbishment projects thanks to an installation method patented by Tubes, which has been simplified enormously compared to traditional radiators (flexible centring).

The other two new radiators presented, the Kangeri and Scaletta, designed by Satyendra Pakhalé and Elisa Giovannoni of Studio Giovannoni respectively, stand out for their design which is a far cry from that of traditional radiators.Kangeri looks just like a kanger, a pot which contained embers which was used by the peoples of the Kashmir region to keep their bodies warm, whereas Scaletta is a genuine workman's ladder. Owing to the fact that they are electric, both appear to be a solution to the lifestyle requirements of the "contemporary nomadic life": Kangeri, which is a portable radiator, is nomadic par excellence; Scaletta does not require installation so it can be moved around the home and taken with you every time you move home.
Another novelty entails the range extension for Soho, a hugely successful radiator designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba. Presenting Soho Bathroom Version, fitted with a hand-rail which acts as a heated towel rail and can be positioned freely at any radiator height. A range of chrome-plated embossed brass accessories with an optional hanger supplied on request. The existing colour range for Soho is supplemented with new special anodised aluminium finishes in silver, titanium and black. The research and experimentation activities on the part of Tubes Radiatori continues in the fields of styling, design and technology.
