Die Neue Sammlung, one of the most influential design museums on an international scale, can boast several world records:  set up in 1907, it was the first design museum in the world, and it hosts the largest collection of design items. From now on, in the Industrial Design section, there are also three radiators from the Milano range, which Tubes was invited to donate the to the museum.

The museum curator Dr. Petra Hölscher has placed a particular focus on the presence of the Milano radiators in the exhibit, emphasising specifically the uniqueness of their design, placing them alongside traditional industrial ceramic insulators, wooden furniture dating back to the onset of the industrial revolution and design icons by Alvar Aalto and Charles and Ray Eames: the history of design meets the design of the future.

“Thanks to a painstaking and original design, an everyday object such as the Milano radiator draws a very special attention to itself, indeed it takes on new meaning in the relationship with the architecture of a setting. Milano charms and disarms us for its sculptural shape and its brand new concept, which can also be used as an innovative lead for future projects. For this reason, Milano is, for our collection, an enrichment which we are very happy with”, explains Petra Hölscher as she comments on her decision to invite Tubes to donate the three radiators to the museum.
