The Rift radiator, designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba with Matteo Fiorini for Tubes Radiatori was awarded with the Good Design Award 2017.
The Good Design Award, set up in 1950 and organised by the Chicago Athenaeum – Museum of Architecture and Design – in conjunction with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies, is one of the most internationally acclaimed design awards
For the 2017 edition, the jury selected 900 new products and projects from more than 48 countries all over the world, awarding them for their aesthetic and technical performances.
Among these there is Rift, the modular, component-based radiator, designed to satisfy the customisation needs of any designer. The greatest feature which makes Rift really innovative is its patented installation, which is much simpler than for any traditional radiator and involves only a single collector with flexible centring for connection to the plumbing system.
The Good Design Award represents for Rift the most recent of a long series of prizes including: the iF Design Award 2016 in the Building Technology category, the Special Mention for the German Design Award 2017 and the Wallpaper* Design Award 2017 in the Best Sleepover category.
