DEMO Hotel is the result of the refurbishment of an abandoned boarding house situated on the Romagna coast in Italy. Today, this experimental hotel project is truly one of a kind; resulting from the involvement of 14 different architecture practices on the part of Mauro Santinato, chairman of Teamwork Hospitality, a famous hotel consulting firm.
Tubes was selected by a generous six of the architecture firms called upon to redesign the spaces: Drama by Laura Verdi; The Circle by Silvia Ticchi; In a Light Wave by Fragment Hospitality; Tropicana Club by Rizoma Architetture; Into the cloud by Studio Barbera Valsecchi and Sea Suite by Studio Bizzarro.
The hotel rooms were each designed by a different architect, who conveyed their personal idea of hospitality, thereby contributing to the creation of a permanent showroom set in an operational hotel.
