Tubes was chosen to be among the protagonists of Venice Design Biennial, with its unique and unmistakable heating solutions Eve and Milano Free-standing.
Curated by the founders Luca Berta and Francesca Giubilei, the exhibitions of Venice Design Biennial will take place from 20 May to 27 June 2021, in conjunction with the first month of the Biennale di Architettura — the International Architecture Exhibition in Venice — in a selection of suggestive places in the lagoon city.
Tubes will exhibit Eve, the warming and luminous sphere designed by Roberto+Ludovica Palomba, and Milano Free-standing, the sculptural radiator designed by Antonia Astori and Nicola De Ponti, within the collective exhibition «Design As a Self-Portrait» .
The exhibition presents the works of over 20 international designers through two exhibition venues: SPARC* Spazio Arte Contemporanea in Campo Santo Stefano in Venice, and SPUMA Space for the Arts, an evocative space of industrial archeology located in Giudecca, Venice.
In this collective, aimed at investigating how we represent ourselves through design, with objects, spaces and experiences, Eve and Milano Free-standing translate an ancient way of experiencing warmth, like a hug, which characterizes man’s life from the night of the times and today becomes more relevant than ever. A design ‘personal warmth’ which opens up to the human dimension.
