The radiator Origami, designed by Alberto Meda for Tubes, shows again its high value in the world of design. In fact, Tubes is the only Italian company among the 4 finalists in the INDUSTRY category of the DesignEuropa Awards, organized by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
The DesignEuropa Awards, which are divided into three categories (the Industry Award, the Small and Emerging Companies Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award), celebrate excellence in design and design management among Registered Community Design (RCD) holders.
Because of its versatility and high level of design, the jury selected Origami among more than 600 applications sent from all over the world.
Luisa Bocchietto, President of the World Design Organisation and DesignEuropa Award jury Chairwoman, explains that “the finalist designs all contribute to their companies’ performance and represent good intellectual property rights management, as well as having high levels of aesthetic value”.
The Award ceremony took place on 27th November 2018 at the POLIN Conference Centre in Warsaw.
